Chiquis came from a co-worker's litter. We went to visit Chiquis' mom on the day of the birthing—umbilical cord and all. When she finally came home to us at 7 weeks, she was only 2 lbs and fit nicely in the palm of one hand.
Likes: Sunning herself on the deck and in the back window of the car, treats, hiding under quilts, sleeping in hotels & rides in the car. She is very adventuresome and loves to explore new ground.
Dislikes: Wet grass, nail trimmings.

Diego is a rescue from the Warm Springs Reservation. We were specifically looking for a Therapy Dog and he fit the bill perfectly. Diego is a calm, friendly, happy boy who thinks everyone is here to pet him.....until he gets into the ring, when he turns into a flyball fanatic.
Likes: ANY tennis ball, his froggy, and bunny.
Dislikes: Watching everyone run at a tournament but him.

Grace was in the care of the Border Collie Rescue of Washington and Oregon when we adopted her.
Likes: Sheep, squeaky lambchop, small things to chase.
Dislikes: Vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, not getting to go out with dad.

Adopted at 8 months from the Oregon Humane Society. Lived for about a year and a half with a young man who moved to the Caribbean. Placed with a friend who couldn't keep her. Placed again with another friend temporarily. Then he worked from St. Croix to find a permanent home. We heard about Izzy and thought she would work for friends of ours who were looking for a sweet little dog. One look at Izzy and their image of a sweet little dog went south. We said she can stay here and the rest is history.
Likes: Tennis balls, tennis balls, tennis balls and flyball. Her truck and my pillow.
Dislikes: Sharing the tennis ball, waiting for her turn at flyball

Now he is obedient, but independent; loving, but crazy; fun, but wild; sweet, but a show off. He is one of the smartest dogs his mom has ever had, and he loves to learn, or show you what he knows. He is a Border Collie in an athletic Pomeranian body.
Likes: Playing fetch, flyball, chasing rabbits, and a special bear toy that he cuddles with.
Dislikes: Sharing his human's attention! Getting wet or dirty.

He had a rough start and is now with his third owner. He is a handful to say the least. But he's the only dog his mom has ever trained that figured out how to work the box in one lesson.
Likes: Balls, going to work with mom, playing with other dogs, barking, chasing cars (very bad), and balls
Dislikes: Being picked up by his harness, big black dogs (don't know why, but he's afraid of them), staying home when mom goes out, when mom is tired of throwing the ball and refuses to do so.

Lady was bought from a breeder in Dallas, who told me she was a boy and was orginally named Rollie Pollie. She was then named after Lady and the Tramp. She started doing flyball because she is never without a tennis ball and I thought it would help with her people issues. She also enjoys going to the river for a swim and diving for rocks.

We felt our Chiquis needed another dog as a playmate and companion, so we searched the local shelters unable to find the right fit. We were close to choosing one dog when a posting on Craigslist showed us a picture of Lalo. The owner was unable to take care of her older dog and this lively puppy while recovering from a severe illness. We picked him up and he came calmly into our arms and house. He was 5 months old at the time.
Likes: Playing with his "sister" Chiquis, watermelon, sleeping in hotels & rides in the car.
Dislikes: Wet grass, using his doggy door.
