Is your dog an endless tornado of energy? Do you have to hide the tennis balls in your home? Don’t worry, there’s hope!
Thank you for your interest in the X-Fidos. Flyball is a fast-paced dog sport. Flyball is a relay race for dogs and is unique because it is a team sport. If you have a young, fit, fast dog, that loves to fetch flyball may be a good fit.
The sport of flyball takes time to learn for both human and dog. Many dogs spend a year or more training before they are ready to compete. In teaching flyball we break learning into short skills that that we then link together. While learning you will need to work on “homework” each week with your dog. It can be hard to find the self-discipline and time to work skills at home, building successful repetitions of the fundamental skills, will make it easier for your dog to find success in the sport. Time spent training using positive reinforcement will strengthen the bond with your dog as you work together.
